PHOTOGRAMMETRY-BASED ESTIMATION OF SURFACE VIBRATIONS

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution › peer-review

Abstract

This paper investigates the photogrammetry-based technique and image processing to obtain natural frequencies and vibration mode shapes of a whole surface of a vibrating structure at once. The utilized setup uses a single camera, while the measurements consider an exemplary plate excited by a speaker. Circular photoluminescent markers are attached to the plate surface, 400 pieces in total. To facilitate the mode shape recognition, a frequency sweep is used instead of a broadband signal. The obtained results are used to evaluate the accuracy and practical potential of the proposed vibration estimation method.
