Abstract
In this paper a computationally efficient technique for analyzing the lightning protection systems (LPS) is presented. The technique combines wire-grid method of moments with adaptive frequency sampling and interpolation of the desired quantity to reduce the number of frequency samples required to correctly predict the broadband frequency response of the analyzed LPS system. To investigate the efficiency of the proposed approach electromagnetic disturbances i.e., the voltage induced on electrical networks protected by the LPS is considered.
