title = "Mo-based alloys with rhenium addition for application as protective coatings in the glass industry",
abstract = "Mo-Re alloys have a potential of being applied in the ceramic industry. They can be used as protective coatings for cermet elements that are highly prone to corrosion in contact with liquid glass. Powder Mo-Re alloy materials were obtained by means of powder metallurgy by reduction followed by annealing. Already at the stage of reduction of NH4ReO4 and Mo powder mixtures, formation of the Mo-Re alloy was observed. Reduced powders were then subjected to annealing process. The influence of parameters of reduction and annealing on the phase composition and microstructure of obtained materials was studied. A noticeable influence of the process parameters on the content of (Mo-Re) and χ phases was observed. The materials were subsequently deposited on ZrO2-based ceramic substrates with plasma spraying. The deposition parameters were also found to affect the phase composition and the microstructure of the obtained coatings.",
