Abstract
Noise control algorithms for small acoustic plants are examined. Small acoustic plants should be considered as a special group of noise control plants because of the geometrical arrangement of the loudspeakers and microphones. Due to this arrangement, the transmission times of the acoustic waves are shorter than the transmission times of corresponding electric signals. The proposed algorithms are based on different adaptive control structures. The main goal is to minimize energy of the residual sound; however, other performance criteria are formulated and taken into account.
