Abstract
Silica monoliths with tetramodal porosity were synthesized, and the effect of process parameters on their porous structure was studied. It was shown that the materials have a bimodal system of mesopores and a bimodal system of macropores of a micrometer size. The pore structure monoliths did not display homogeneity in a whole volume of the sample. The monoliths obtained exhibit the properties which favour their application as inputs/beds of chemical microreactors.
