Abstract
This paper presents a detailed loss analysis of a hybrid Active Neutral Point Clamped (ANPC) active power filter employing SiC MOSFETs and Si IGBTs. Experimental measurements under both inductive and capacitive operating conditions are used to validate a comprehensive loss model including semiconductor devices and the LCL filter. Good agreement between calculated and measured losses was obtained within the experimentally verified current range. The results provide insight into the loss distribution between semiconductor and passive components and confirm the suitability of the developed model for the analysis and design optimization of hybrid ANPC-based active power filters.
