Longitudinal acoustic phonons in Co/Cu superlattices

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The paper presents calculations of longitudinal acoustic wave velocity and frequency in Co/Cu superlattices along the direction of layer growth. The treatment used is based on the Rytov theory. As examples, two samples were considered: one with 60 layers and one with 10 layers. It was shown that conclusions obtained for a two-layer system are valid for multi-layered structures.
