Abstract
The article discusses the experimental study on joints between pontoons intended to use in the platform of floating hotel facility. Investigated set of three interconnected pontoons and test stand realized in the Civil Engineering Laboratory of the Silesian University of Technology are described. Conclusions on the load-bearing capacity and stiffness of pontoon field joints are presented, and the forces acting on the various elements of the joint are estimated. The behaviour of an untypical single bolt end-plate connection, an important part of the analysed structure, for which detailed guidelines are missing in design standards, is discussed.
