Abstract

Breathing disorders during the sleep are different for the population of adults and for the population of children. Most frequently used method for detection of breathing disorders is the polysomnography. In this method many sensors must be used and, in fact, this method is uncomfortable for the patients. In this paper the Authors propose the intelligent system for detection of breathing disorders based on the sound analysis. Additionally, the applied mathematical methods used in this system are presented. Advantage of the proposed procedure is that it is less invasive for the patients and enables the continuous observation of breathing or its disorders.
