Integrated diagnostic and control functions of frequency inverters with ProfiBus interfaces

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution › peer-review

Abstract

This article describes software features of integrated control and diagnostic blocks dedicated to the ProfiBus DP network. Control and diagnostic blocks have been developed in order to an application in the distributed drives system, where amount of work connected with programming exceed skills of the average class programmer. The paper presents description of integrated control and diagnostic functions developed by the authors, internal structures of diagnostic functions that automatically detect faults of supervised units (Master or Slave of the ProfiBus network). To improve control and diagnostic blocks in manufacturing systems some new assumptions must be introduced.
