Abstract
The influence of surface modification of amorphous tapes made of iron based alloys using electrochemical passivation, on their corrosion resistance has been investigated. Passivation has been carried out basing on the potentiodynamic method of anodic polarization in selected testing environment - 5M solution of H2SO4. The corrosion tests of passivated and unpassivated tape surfaces have been realized in 0,1 M NaCl solution. The potential of polarized specimens has been changed with rate 1 mV/s, and polarization has been carried out in potentials range of - 0,700 V to +0,600 V. The modification of tapes surfaces used for iron based alloys affect possitivly on their corrosion resistance comparying to unpassivated state.
