Abstract

This paper presents a lubrication management support system, built on a concept previously developed by the authors, which is currently being implemented in one of the industrial plants. This system enables the use of established Industry 4.0 solutions and allows us to reach the benefits of implementing intelligent solutions related to data analytics even before the transition from manual lubrication methods to automated methods. The system described uses tools such as RFID, AR, and IoT, allowing relatively simple, cost-effective, and direct involvement of maintenance personnel in both data collection and the use of modern technologies to support lubrication management tasks.
