Abstract

In this paper a hybrid technique linking the frequency-domain Method of Moments and the Finite Difference Time Domain method is presented. Proposed technique is a very powerful and efficient method for analyzing complex electromagnetic problems involving perfectly conducting antennas radiating in the presence of inhomogeneous dielectric bodies of an arbitrary shape. To shorten the time of computation two techniques, based on tapering and interpolating of incident field in FDTD region, are implemented. Numerical results validating the hybrid method and showing its capabilities are also presented.
