Abstract

In the paper the inverse problem consisting in the estimation of thermophysical parameters of the tumor region on the basis of the skin surface temperature is presented. The non-homogeneous 2D domain being the composition of tumor region and healthy tissue is considered. The temperature field in sub-domains is described by the system of the Pennes equations (the Poisson type equations) and the boundary conditions given on the outer and contact surfaces. The thermophysical parameters of healthy tissue are known. In order to identify the thermal parameters of tumor region, the least squares method containing the sensitivity coefficients is used. On the stage of numerical computations the multiple reciprocity boundary element method is applied. In the final part of the paper the examples of computations are shown.
