Abstract
Green roofs are gaining popularity as part of sustainable urban construction, offering numerous environmental, economic and social benefits. The paper identifies design challenges associated with their implementation, such as increased structural loads depending on the system chosen, advanced materials and technologies, including modern monitoring systems. Attention is also given to the development of hybrid roofs, combining green functions with renewable energy production.
