N2 - Owing to increasing risk of animal diseases transmission to human beings there is need to design installations to neutralize large amount of meat wastes from farms as well as from free animals. There is large amount of waste from meat industry and veterinary waste. Analysis of substances of animal origin should include many parameters similar to ones indicated during analysis of other combustible substances. Important is calorific value, content of fixed carbon FC, content of volatile matters VL and ash as well as elementary composition. Results of physical and chemical tests carried on poultry meat, beef, pork and venison are presented in the paper. The obtained data - on the present stage of research project - could be treated as the basis to determine technology to utilize animal origin substance according to requirement of environmental protection. Some results of various experiments relevant to the main topic are shown in the paper.
