Abstract

This study reports the fabrication of CuBi2O4 (CBO) and rGO/CBO nanocomposite by hydrothermal approach. rGO/CBO nanocomposite morphological and structural properties were confirmed via various techniques. rGO/CBO nanocomposite demonstrated capacitance of 1426 F/g and a power density (Pd) of 225 W/kg @ 1 A/g through electrochemical studies. rGO/CBO demonstrated a charge transfer resistance of 1.76 Ω smaller than CBO (2.62 Ω) determined through the Nyquist plot. rGO addition to CBO, quicker charge ion transportation enhanced conductivity and increase in capacitance. rGO/CBO nanocomposite exhibited excellent stability over the 5000th cycle. Therefore, rGO/CBO nanocomposite is a viable option to be employed as supercapacitor electrode material and is also utilized in various energy storage devices.
