Abstract
This article presents an analysis of the operation of two lines: a cable line and an overhead line running in parallel. The voltages and currents induced in the cable shielding conductors were determined under the influence of currents flowing in the overhead line. The impact of these currents on the cable’s current-carrying capacity and on operational work was assessed - including safety during such work due to induced voltages. The impact of the location of the cable relative to the line on the determined parameters was assessed.
