Abstract

According to the Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings the energy performance of building done on the basis of measurements may be an alternative to the energy performance carried out using calculation methods. But the necessary condition is that the method must be relatively simple, based on the short measurements in real objects. It should be possible to be applied by energy auditors. The heat consumption for heating and ventilation is one of the main components of the energy performance. The energy signature method has been used for determining seasonal heat consumption for heating and ventilation purposes in real multifamily inhabited building. The data from measurements in real season have been used. The purpose of the analysis was to draw up the guidelines for determining seasonal heat consumption for heating and ventilation systems in multifamily residential buildings based on short in situ measurements: especially the optimal duration of the measurement period and the external climate conditions limiting or excluding short measurements.
