Abstract

This article presents an overview of biological properties and biotransformation of isoflavones in vivo and describes methods of their identification, with special attention given to investigation by liquid chromatography.We discuss the advantages and the disadvantages of different methods of sample preparation, and the choice of suitable columns, solvents and detectors used for identifying isoflavones in different samples.
