Decentralized adaptive multichannel active noise control

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution › peer-review

Abstract

In the paper, a new approach to adaptive multichannel active noise control problem is proposed. It is assumed that the corresponding centralized optimal control algorithm taking into account all diagonal and off-diagonal control channels cannot be implemented due to different processing, hardware or plant under control limitations. In the proposed approach the problem of centralized adaptive multichannel active noise control is substituted by a set of cross-coupled local adaptive active noise control problems but each one with much less number of control channels. Such problem reformulation results in a constellation of cooperating local adaptive (single- or multi-channel) active noise control systems that are coordinated. The corresponding coordination strategy is discussed and its influence on structures of the cooperating local active noise control systems in the constellation is presented.
