Abstract
Corrosion resistance investigations of nanocrystalline Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 alloy compared to its amorphous counterpart were carried out. Low-temperature crystallization based on the annealing of amorphous tapes was used to obtain a nanocrystalline structure. The influence of heat treatment on the alloy structure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in H2So4 and HCl solutions was investigated. Based on the parameters taken on as a criterion of corrosion resistance, it was found that nanocrystalline tapes have a higher corrosion resistance than their amorphous counterpart.
