Cooperative User Interface for AGV – Proof of Concept

Abstract

Many believe that gesture recognition is the domain of entertainment, and it does not refer to other professional activities. However, it is not true. New technologies available in industrial equipment along with the great progress in the IT domain allow for the creation of user interfaces UI of industrial systems with some new qualities. This paper presents current advancements in the construction of UI based on gesture control and it provides some constructive outlook on the direction of further development as well. Relevant techniques and technologies are presented and analyzed, and the concept of such a novel approach in the context of industrial AGV is shown.
