Abstract

The paper presents results of computer - aided investigations relating to the influence which structure of a cutting drum's drive system, a haulage speed of a longwall coal shearer and strength parameters of coal have on the dynamic load in a longwall shearer's cutting system. The investigations have been carried out on the basis of the developed mathematical model of the KSW-500 longwall shearer's cutting system. This model makes it possible to perform the investigation in accordance with the procedure for a study of dynamic of a longwall shearer's cutting system.
