Comparative analysis of systems: Vapour compressor heat pump - Ground heat exchanger

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This work presents the results of thermal analysis of the systems: vapour compressor heat pump - ground heat exchanger. The low source of heat constitutes a geothermal one and there the heat exchanger was installed. Two configuration cases of ground heat exchanger were considered: horizontal and vertical one. The vapour - compressor heat pump, operating constantly with changing heating capacity, constitutes a basic heat source for heated object. The variation of heating capacity results from the changing demand for the heat flow rate during the heating season. The processes taking place in the system are of unsteady character. This paper presents the results of calculations concerning one heating season. The aim of the analysis regards the examination of the influence of ground heat exchanger pipes configuration on operation of the system.
