Abstract

The article presents an economic characteristic of the oxy-type unit 600 MW integrated with the membrane oxygen plant. The waste heat sources in the analyzed power plant were identified and used by the integration with an ORC modules. The analysis of the ORC modules contain the work on three fluids: benzene, R245ca and toluene. The economic analysis was made for: reference oxy - type unit (REF), in which the waste heat is not used, unit with the low pressure exchangers section (REG) replaced through the use of waste heat and unit integrated with the ORC modules in two variants: with optimal (ORC-O) and improper (ORC-P) choice of operating factors. The methodology of economic evaluation of the analyzed units with the main assumptions were presented. For each variant the break-even price of electricity was determined. The influence of selected economic factors such as: fuel price, investment costs and the price of CO2 allowances to change of the breakeven price of electricity was analyzed.
