Abstract

The results of studies on chemical and thermal debinding of prints made from hybrid filaments based on polyamide compounds filled with 316L stainless steel granules were presented. The scope of work included chemical debinding in acetone or acetone vapors and thermal debinding of the starting filament samples and test prints. The basic criterion for evaluating the effectiveness of the debinding process was the assessment of mass change. Acetone bathing was found to be an effective method of removing the binder while maintaining the appropriate geometry and stiffness of the prints. The thermal debinding process was carried out as part of the sintering process. Of the three processing modes, the optimal variant was selected, for maintaining the intended print geometry and characterized by the lowest porosity. The conclusion of the research is the development of parameters for chemical and thermal debinding of printouts.
