Abstract
Results are proved enabling effective investigation of solutions for the model dynamics equations derived in part I of the paper. This is done with the aid of the theory of linear functional differential equations. The conditions for free growth, steady state, and decay of the population are stated and proved. Also a method of properly choosing the initial conditions for modeling is described. Then the problem of finding the optimal treatment protocols in leukemias is reduced to a control problem with distributed delays in state and control. The paper concludes with short discussion of numerical results and possible further applications.
