Abstract

Braze welding processes are used for the construction and repair of various elements connected with the manufacturing of means of transport. Among the important joining techniques, brazing plays a crucial role in vehicle construction because it enables the joining of two metals in which only one of them is melted while the other remains solid. This method makes it possible to obtain durable and high-quality joints, especially when one of the metals to be joined exhibits poor weldability. Braze welding of pure copper to low-alloy steel is considered difficult and can be regarded as an important research gap. The aim of this paper is to determine the parameters for brazing technically pure copper to S355JR non-alloy steel.
