Abstract
Analysis results of acoustic emission signals in oil transformer are presented in the paper. Characteristics containing fundamental and advanced descriptions for recorded signals were calculated. Within advanced description amplitude distributions, descriptors named by acronyms ADP and ADC (named by authors) within chosen frequency bands and descriptors maps have been made. Local maxima within descriptors maps were identified and analysis of signals recorded in identified areas concluded distinction for signal produced by partial discharges or inner acoustic phenomena. Compatibility of the independent analyses of partial discharges investigation results obtained by means of electric and acoustic methods has been checked.
