Abstract

This article presents the scope of axial-flow fans modernization with back guide blades in shields for the generators type TWW-230. Based on the selected examples of applications, there are presented results of thermal calculations that were verified by measurements of the generator type TWW-230, before and after the fan modernization. Additionally there are described the influence of fan modernization with back guide blades on the increase of generator rated power.
