Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution resulting from the application of new telecommunications technologies and the networking of the economy means dynamic changes in the conditions of running a business. Globalization and competition increase present enterprises with new challenges and the need to apply new business models. The fourth industrial revolution has been going on for several years, affecting the business, industry, and other areas of life, generating new opportunities for both companies and customers. An essential feature of the modern market is the ability to obtain reliable knowledge about customers' needs, which determines the competitive advantage of enterprises. The correct definition of opportunities, challenges, and problems guarantees the intended use of new opportunities or market opportunities. Therefore, the chapter discusses the competitiveness and effectiveness assessment of the business model 4.0, especially concerning the network of enterprises operating in the conditions of personalization and servitization of production.
