Abstract
This paper presents a novel method for approximating HPPC (hybrid pulse power characterization) pulses, incorporating the impact of the open-circuit voltage on the voltage response of the cell. The proposed approach eliminates errors caused by the classical assumption of constant OCV (open-circuit voltage) during HPPC test pulses, improving the accuracy of the cell RC parameter identification. It enables the analysis of cases previously discarded due to severe waveform distortions. The effectiveness of the method was validated through laboratory tests and simulations.
