Abstract

The paper presents the results and comparative analysis of loading tests of jet grouting columns. Generally columns are tested as a single structure but in real condition columns always work in groups. During the research project the wide spectrum of experimental tests were performed. The most innovative was realization in the same subsoil condition the static loading test of group of 3 jet grouting columns and of the single column. The comparison between results of these loading tests allows to estimate the impact of cooperation in load transfer between jet grouting columns working in real condition in situ. The tests were conducted at the same experimental plot located in Bojszowy Nowe (the Upper Silesia) in Poland, where the subsoil is dominated by sand interlayered by cohesive soil with organic particles. The columns for tests were characterized by predetermined diameter of 600 mm and a length of 6,0 m and they were reinforced by steel pipes. Columns in the group were arranged at the vertices of an equilateral triangle with a side equal to 2.0 m.
