Abstract
This paper provides a discussion on the results of studies of a motor vehicle in which considerable and perceptible vibrations were observed at the steering wheel. A test run was conducted during the experimental part of the studies to record the local and general vibrations affecting the vehicle driver. In line with the applicable standard, the vibrations were measured at the driver’s seat and at the steering wheel, both in 3 directions. The results thus obtained were benchmarked against the relevant permissible values; an extended frequency analysis was also performed, and based on the latter the frequencies dominant in the phases of the vibrations distinctively perceptible on the vehicle steering wheel were determined.
