Abstract

Modern technologies for the application of metallurgical slag include treatments used in construction, road construction, renovation and also in metallurgy. The latter application allows the purification of liquid alloys by refining. The treatments presented in article allowed the production of high-quality cast steel using alloys refined with metallurgical slag. Selected mechanical test results are presented together with the developed statistical analysis confirming the significance of measurements made. The technological operations used have contributed to improving quality and strength of selected alloys.
