Abstract
In the article, the factors determining the reactivity of the glassy phase of fly ash were analyzed. The obtained results highlight the validity of using advanced methods such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy as a complement to classical methods for assessing the pozzolanic activity of fly ash. This method made it possible to explain cases in which fine particle size or a high content of SiO2 and Al2 O3 do not always translate into high chemical reactivity of fly ash.
