Abstract
The paper considers aspects of the thermal temperature drop between steel core and surface of ACSR and ACSS conductors. The article presents mathematical model for calculations steady-state radial temperature difference in overhead conductor. At high current density temperature of the conductor’s core is greater than surface temperature and the impact of radial temperature drop affect the calculations of the conductor sag.
