Abstract
The article presents the first of the author's methods for determining frequency in the power system (the second method is presented in the second part). The article presents an original method for determining frequency in the power system. The methods are based on tracking changes in the position of the measurement signal phasor on the phase plane at specific time intervals. The signal phasor parameters are calculated using orthogonal filtering. Having the position angles of the signal phasor at the beginning and end of the measurement cycle, it is possible to calculate the change in its frequency and determine the current frequency. Analyzes and simulation studies were carried out on the impact of the algorithm's operating parameters and the form of the measurement signal on the accuracy of frequency determination.
