Abstract
The article presents the second of the author's methods for determining frequency in the power system (the first method is presented in the first part). The method is based on tracking changes in the position of the measurement signal phasor on the phase plane at specific time intervals - determined by the sampling frequency. The signal phasor parameters are calculated using full-wave orthogonal filtering. Having the position angles of the signal phasor at the beginning and end of the measurement cycle, it is possible to determine the potential change in its frequency occurring at that time and determine the current frequency. Constancy of orthogonal filters parameters with variable signal frequency will require correction of filter gains and the use of an averaging filter. These activities allows to achieve the assumed measurement accuracy. Simulation studies were carried out on the influence of algorithms operating conditions and the form of the measurement signal on the accuracy of frequency determination.
