Abstract
Nowadays may be observed a rapid grow of distributed control systems, because traditional, centralized manufacturing systems are not capable of meeting high level requirements related to flexibility and efficiency. This efficiency is obtained thanks to dynamical reconfiguration, not only tuning parameters of the controller's implemented in system but also the structure itself. The object oriented standard IEC 61499 is helpful in realization of multi-agent metamorphic control systems. In this article generic description of IEC 61499 standard is described together with the proposed metamorphic architecture. This structure is designed by separating the data from the event mechanisms according to mentioned standard.
