Abstract

In the paper, an approach to adaptive generation of piece-wise wide-sense stationary random acoustic local fields with specified properties in a noisy environment is presented. Properties of the acoustic local field to be generated are defined by a time- or frequency-domain pattern being a piece-wise deterministic function of time. The presented approach is based on multi-sine random time-series that realisations are synthesised and simulated with the multisine transformation based on the given pattern. The corresponding acoustic local field is generated with a loudspeaker that is driven by multisine random time-series realisations transformed to a continuous-time signal. In the proposed approach adaptive active noise control systems are an important support in shaping a noise from the environment.
