A Novel Approach to Design of Active Noise Control Systems

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Conference contribution › peer-review

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel approach to the design of active noise control systems. The control is performed using discrete-time dynamic filters implemented within a type-3 hybrid dynamic system. Filter parameters are estimated using classical system identification methods by minimising an integral cost function defined on the corresponding continuous-time models. The proposed approach is illustrated with a simulation case study using empirically selected models representative of typical active noise control scenarios.
