Description
The ARGUS ETVision Eye Tracking System – the device enables non-invasive, mobile recording and subsequent accurate analysis of eye position and movements at successive moments.
It contains miniature ocular cameras with a set of diodes that monitor each eye independently and a camera that records the scene in front of the participant.
The main parameters obtained during registration with the above-mentioned device are changes in pupil width, iris height (this allows us to analyse the so-called squinting of the eyes) and the moments and frequency of blinking. In addition, the position of the centre of the pupil is an important element, because with such a high accuracy of registration, it is possible, at a later stage of analysis, to detect fixation points and their rapid shifts (sudden changes in the visual field, not detected by the brain), i.e. saccadic movements.
The ETVision system is also equipped with a set of corrective glasses with lenses ranging from -5 to +3 dioptres.
